Visit some of the best places in Adriatic Sea
During this year one week program we will show you some of the most beautiful and wild places in the Adriatic Sea. REST sailing route will lead us to Northern Adriatic islands of Silba, Olib, Premuda, Kornati archipelago and Dugi otok. Sandy beaches, cocktail bars, amazing couisine, very warm crystal-clear sea and perfect Adriatic summer weather will make sure you’ll remember it for the rest of your life!
Saturday, 18th of August – Biograd na moru
We’ll start our sailing experience in the beautiful city of Biograd na moru in Marina Kornati. Your arrival should be planned after 3pm, when yachts will be ready for boarding. Whole afternoon will be free to settle, do the grocery shopping, relax and bond with your sailing teams, while in the evening we will gather in the coctail bar on the Biograd beach for welcome party.
Sunday, 19th of August – Island Olib, bay Južna Slatinica
On our first day we will organize breakfast in the open sea and skippers will make sure we leave Biograd early in the morning. But don’t worry, you can take a good long sleep! After fleet stops in the middle of the sea for some breakfast and morning swim, we will continue to the north to wild sandy bay Južna Slatinica on island Olib. A bit longer journey will be rewarded with the afternoon drink at the crystal clear and very shallow sandy beach, where we’ll spend the rest of the evening and chill on the shore or sailing yachts. Let’s see what the night will bring. 🙂
Monday, 20th of August – Island Premuda
Could you imagine a better start of the Monday morning, than diving in cristal clear tourqize water with sandy bay? After relaxed morning we will set the sails towards one of the most remote island in the archipelago, Premuda, where we’ll enjoy it’s small and cozy beach or discover the island and enjoy amazing view from the top. Later in the evening we’ll gather at the dinner in the local restaurant. Premida is famous for it’s wild and rich underwater life and we’re sure that delicious traditional Dalmatian dinner will not be missed out ;).
Tuesday, 21th of August – Dugi otok, Veli rat
On Tuesday we’ll set our course back to the south and enjoy some downwind sailing throught the archipelago. Short midday stop for swimming on island Škarda or snorkling on the remainings of ship wreck which is just few metres under the sea level, and we’ll continue towards marina Veli rat on Dugi otok. We are sure that after two days of wild life, some normal bathrooms and electricity will be more than welcome. During relaxed afternoon you’ll be able to climb on one of most remarkable lighthouses in Adriatic or spend the evening on the most beautiful bay with sandy beach – Sakarun. Let’s see what the evening brings… maybe we will end-up with guitar on the sandy beach and under the open sky… imagine that!
Wednesday, 22nd of August – Dugi otok, Sali
very time we are sailing in the archipelago, we have to stop in Sali, which is “the capital” of all sailors and on Wednesday we will continue our route to the south and sail along beautiful and diverse coat od Dugi otok. You’ll have a chance to stop at the Jugoslavian National Army submarine base and take some time for midday swimming.
In the afternoon and evening we will moore in beautiful small city of Sali. It will offer you typical Adriatic cuisine restaurants, grocery shop and other facilities, including toiletes and showers in the marina. Expect party evening in Bar Maritimo, which is located just next to the yachts moorings.
Thursday, 23th of August – Kornati, bay Lavsa
As on every REST sailing trip in the region so far we will sail to the National park Kornati, which is probably one of the most beautiful places at the Croatian sea – unspoiled archipelago of 125 islands. You’ll have a chance to visit some of the Kornati attractions – abandoned fortress, village made for film industry in 60’s, 18th century lighthouse, president Tito’s beach Lojena and enjoy the view over the archipelago. In the afternoon we’ll anchor in South area of Kornati islands, in the Lavsa bay and enjoy the night under the sky. Or who knows, in exact the same bay the most remarkable spontaneous party happened in 2016! 😉 #jesussavedus
Friday, 24nd of August – Biograd na moru
We will wake up admiring Kornati islands in all of their beauty and a refreshing morning swim will make your day. We will stay in the bay untill midday and during the afternoon finish our sailing trip back in Biograd na Moru. Some water activities and swimming during the day will of course not be left out. But don’t be afraid, there will be one more thing waiting for us – Farewell dinner* in Carp I More in Biograd city center, where we will taste some typical Mediterranean cuisine and ambient. And as it will be our last evening together we will make sure, to make it an unforgettable one!
Saturday, 25th of August – Check out
Since all good things come to an end, also our REST trip will and we will have to leave our boats, which were our homes for the last week. Skippers will take care of check-out procedures we will meet for the coffee and brunch, which will be the last act of REST 2018 trip. But even now, before the trip, we are sure new friendships and all the memories will stay with us forever!
